ISLAMABAD: The Pak Rupee ended down by 11 paisas against dollar in interbank foreign exchange market owing to high demand for import and corporate payments.
The rupee ended Rs138.84 to the dollar from previous day’s closing of Rs138.73 in interbank foreign exchange market.
The interbank foreign exchange market was initiated in the range of Rs138.70 and Rs138.80.
The market recorded day high of Rs138.85 and low of Rs138.65 and closed at Rs138.84.
Currency experts said that ease in tension between Pakistan and India increased the demand for import payment.
The exchange in the open market was remained unchanged.
The buying and selling of dollar was recorded at Rs138.50/Rs139.00 same previous day’s level in cash ready market.
