KARACHI: The Pak Rupee gained sharply by 42 paisas against dollar in mid-day trading on Thursday.
The dollar is being traded at Rs138.16 in interbank foreign exchange market.
The rupee/dollar exchange rate was ended at Rs138.16 to the dollar in interbank foreign exchange market.
Currency experts said that inflows of $2 billion from Saudi Arabia and UAE for financial assistance helped the Pak Rupee to recover against greenback.
They said that measures taken by the government to discourage import of luxury and non-essential items also discouraged the demand for the US dollar.
The local currency gained 63 paisas so far during this week in interbank foreign exchange market.
