KARACHI: The Pak Rupee strengthened against dollar by five paisas on Friday on narrowing current deficit.
The rupee ended Rs138.84 to the dollar as compared with last day’s closing of Rs138.89 in interbank foreign exchange market.
Currency experts said that the shrinking current account deficit helped the local currency to gain.
The interbank foreign exchange market was initiated in the range of Rs138.89 and Rs138.91.
The market recorded day high of Rs138.90 and low of Rs138.83 and closed at Rs138.84.
The exchange rate in open market was remained unchanged.
Buying and selling of dollar was recorded at Rs138.80/Rs139.30 in cash free market.
