Apple is preparing a visual overhaul for Apple Music as part of its upcoming iOS 27 update, introducing redesigned artist and album pages aimed at delivering a more immersive and personalized user experience.
The enhancements are among several Apple Music-specific changes arriving alongside broader design refinements across the operating system.
Redesigned Artist Pages Arrive in iOS 27
Apple has already introduced the new artist page design in the latest iOS 27 beta release.
The updated layout integrates an artist’s image more closely with the rest of the page, allowing colors from the artwork to influence the overall visual appearance. The result is a more cohesive and dynamic presentation that aligns with Apple’s evolving design language.
Artist information, along with play and favorite controls, is now positioned prominently beneath the artist’s name, making key actions easier to access.
Featured content, including recent releases and upcoming projects, is organized into dedicated sections designed to improve content discovery.
Apple Refines Existing Design Language
While the redesign introduces a fresh appearance, it maintains the core structure established in previous Apple Music updates.
The changes build on the visual foundation introduced in iOS 26 while incorporating elements of Apple’s updated Liquid Glass design philosophy.
iOS 27 also includes a new customization slider that allows users to adjust the appearance of the interface according to their preferences.
Album Pages Also Set for Refresh
Apple has confirmed that album pages will receive a similar redesign as part of the iOS 27 update.
Although the revamped album pages are not yet available in the current beta version, the company referenced the feature during its presentation outlining hundreds of upcoming iOS 27 enhancements.
The changes were highlighted under the categories “Refreshed artist pages in Apple Music” and “Refreshed album pages in Apple Music.”
More Changes Expected in Future Betas
Industry observers expect Apple to introduce the redesigned album pages in upcoming iOS 27 beta releases before the software’s public rollout later this year.
The updates underscore Apple’s continued focus on enhancing the Apple Music experience through visual improvements and easier access to content.
Apple has not announced a specific date for the arrival of the redesigned album pages, but additional details are expected as iOS 27 development progresses.
