Apple is planning to launch the fourth generation of its iPhone SE in 2025, and reports suggest it will be based on the iPhone 14 design.
This means significant changes are coming to the budget-friendly iPhone SE, including the removal of the iconic home button. Instead, Apple will implement Face ID technology, aligning this model more closely with the modern iPhone lineup.
The upcoming iPhone SE is also expected to feature one of Apple’s more recent chipsets, potentially bringing with it enhanced performance and Apple Intelligence capabilities. This shift would mark a substantial upgrade for SE users, offering more power and improved functionality compared to previous iterations.
Mark Gurman, a well-known tech journalist, has revealed additional details about Apple’s 2025 plans. Aside from the iPhone SE, Apple will also be refreshing its Mac lineup. The revamp will include new Mac minis, updated MacBook Pros, and iMacs powered by the next-generation M4 chip.
The upgraded platform will extend to MacBook Air, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro devices, further expanding Apple’s hardware offerings.
Interestingly, Gurman mentioned that we may not see a new iPad Pro in 2025. This could be due to the current iPad Pro model being “a generation ahead,” leaving Apple with little urgency to update the device.
While fans of the iPad Pro may be disappointed, the focus on enhancing the Mac and iPhone lines could still satisfy a broad range of Apple consumers.
