Optic ID, a secure authentication system, analyzes a user’s iris under various invisible LED light exposures, comparing it to the enrolled Optic ID data protected by the Secure Enclave to instantly unlock Apple Vision Pro. The user’s Optic ID data is fully encrypted, inaccessible to apps, and never leaves the device, ensuring it remains uncompromised on Apple servers.
Where a user gazes remains private while navigating Apple Vision Pro, and eye tracking information is not shared with Apple, third-party apps, or websites. Additionally, data from the camera and other sensors is processed at the system level, eliminating the need for individual apps to access a user’s surroundings to enable spatial experiences. EyeSight includes a visual indicator that clearly indicates to others when a user is capturing a spatial photo or video.

Starting at $3,499 (U.S.), Apple Vision Pro will be available in early next year on apple.com and at Apple Store locations in the U.S., with availability expanding to more countries later in the year.
