Karachi, November 20, 2024 – Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir on Wednesday said the protection of Pakistan’s digital borders and the digital security of its people is the responsibility of the state.

The Army Chief emphasized the importance of prioritizing the country over personal interests, asserting that nothing, including politics, is above Pakistan. Describing the state as a maternal figure, he urged the audience to appreciate its value by observing the conditions of people in Libya, Iraq, and Palestine. He reminded them, “Remember, we have no identity other than Pakistan.”
Discussing the challenges facing the nation, General Syed Asim Munir remarked that no matter how difficult the situation may be, unity can ensure that nothing harms the country. He reaffirmed his belief that “despair is forbidden for Muslims” and highlighted that all of Pakistan’s economic indicators are now positive. He expressed optimism that these indicators would improve further in the coming year.
General Asim Munir also criticized those who spread fears of economic default, questioning, “Where are those who talked about default and spread despair? Shouldn’t they be held accountable for their actions?”

Highlighting Pakistan’s potential, he urged every citizen to actively contribute to its growth. The Army Chief emphatically stated that only Pakistanis themselves can bring economic stability to Pakistan through a “bailout.”
