KARACHI, April 9, 2025 — Atlas Honda has issued an official clarification in response to recent media reports suggesting the imminent launch of an electric bike by the company.
The statement came after an inquiry from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), which sought clarification on the matter due to its potential impact on market sentiment.
In its formal response to the PSX, Atlas Honda emphasized that while the company is indeed exploring future mobility solutions and technological advancements, including the electric vehicle (EV) segment, there is currently no definitive development that warrants a public disclosure. The company stated that any official announcement would only be made once substantial progress has been achieved.
“Atlas Honda is actively evaluating evolving automotive technologies and trends. While electric vehicles are a promising avenue, no final decision or material step has yet been taken that requires immediate disclosure under the PSX regulations,” the company reiterated.
The PSX had sent a letter dated March 27, 2025, to Atlas Honda in reference to a news item suggesting that the company was gearing up for an electric bike launch. In response, Atlas Honda confirmed that it remains committed to full regulatory compliance, including the timely dissemination of price-sensitive information, as mandated under relevant PSX rules.
“At the outset, Atlas Honda ensures that it complies with all applicable legal and regulatory frameworks, especially those concerning the communication of material information to shareholders and the general public,” the company stated.
Although Atlas Honda did not confirm any immediate plans for an electric bike release, industry experts note that the company’s acknowledgment of interest in EV technology signals a broader shift in strategic focus. As one of the leading names in Pakistan’s two-wheeler market, any future move by Atlas Honda into the electric segment would be a major development for the industry.
For now, the company maintains that there is no price-sensitive or actionable information requiring formal disclosure, and investors are advised to rely only on verified announcements issued by Atlas Honda.
