Avengers: Doomsday tickets go on sale July 20 as runtime revealed

Marvel Studios will begin selling tickets for Avengers: Doomsday on July 20, giving fans their first opportunity to secure seats for one of the year’s most anticipated superhero films ahead of its December theatrical release.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney will launch advance ticket sales alongside bookings for premium-format screenings, including its new Infinity Vision large-format experience at select cinemas.

The announcement comes as competition intensifies among major Hollywood studios for premium screens. Warner Bros. previously secured many IMAX locations for Dune: Part Three, which is scheduled to open on the same day as Avengers: Doomsday on December 18.

Runtime confirmed

Disney has also confirmed that Avengers: Doomsday will have a runtime of 165 minutes.

While the final length could still change slightly before release, the film will run longer than Avengers: Infinity War but remain shorter than Avengers: Endgame, making it one of Marvel’s longest theatrical releases.

As part of its promotional campaign, Disney will also re-release Avengers: Endgame Encore in Infinity Vision theatres beginning September 25. The 2019 blockbuster remains the second highest-grossing film of all time with approximately $2.8 billion at the global box office, behind only Avatar.

The early ticket rollout follows Universal Pictures’ high-profile advance IMAX ticket campaign for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.
