The 2024 BMW iX lineup introduces several new variants: the iX xDrive45, the iX xDrive60 M Sport, and the high-performance iX M70 xDrive. These models come with improved power output and an expanded driving range.
Thanks to advancements in battery technology, reworked performance electronics, and increased efficiency, the new iX can travel up to 426 miles (WLTP) on a single charge—significantly more than its predecessor. The iX xDrive45, in particular, sees a notable 30% increase in battery capacity, now reaching 94.8 kWh.

These upgrades result in faster acceleration, with the M70 reaching 0-62 mph in just 3.8 seconds.
Sportier Design and Premium Trims:
The updated iX boasts a more aggressive exterior design, especially with the addition of the M Sport package. This includes sculpted front and rear aprons, aerodynamically optimized M light-alloy wheels in 21- and 22-inch sizes, and a new 23-inch wheel option unique to the segment. The iX offers seven new exterior colors, including Arctic Race Blue and Dune Grey.
Inside, the cabin maintains its luxurious and spacious feel, enhanced further by the M Sport trim. Key features include M multifunction seats, a three-spoke M leather steering wheel, and sporty accents.
Charging Efficiency and User Experience:
Charging efficiency is a key upgrade, with the iX xDrive60 and M70 supporting DC fast charging up to 195 kW. All models can also charge via AC at up to 22 kW.
BMW has improved the charging process, with features like better battery pre-conditioning and a more efficient current control system.
The charging socket now includes a release button for added convenience. The My BMW App provides an intuitive route planning system to help drivers locate charging stations and optimize their travel.
Advanced Technology and Driver Assistance:
The iX is equipped with numerous driver assistance systems, including Driving Assistant Plus with Active Cruise Control and Parking Assistant, with Parking Assistant Professional available as an option. The BMW Curved Display and iDrive system, powered by Operating System 8.5, offer a seamless digital experience.
Luxury and Comfort Features:
Standard features on the iX include Adaptive LED headlights, Comfort Access, and heated seats. Optional extras include the Technology Pack, Panoramic Glass Roof Sky Lounge, Clear & Bold interior components, and a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System.
