Bulls dominate trading; KSE-100 index gains 1112 points

KARACHI: The bulls dominated the stock trading on Thursday as the benchmark KSE-100 index gained 1,112 points. The benchmark KSE-100 index of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) ended at 44,334 as compared with previous day’s closing of 43,222 points.

Analysts at Topline Securities said that bulls dominated the benchmark KSE-100 Index where market settled at 44,337 level (up 2.6 per cent).

After sideways opening market witnessed recovery as investors cheered the clarity over political noise where Fawad Chauhdry minister of information said that the government and military are on the same page.

Further, he added that the process for appointing the new DG ISI will be completed soon.

LUCK, TRG, HBL and UBL were the major contributors in today’s trading session cumulatively adding 310 points in KSE100 Index.

On the corporate result front, MEBL posted 3Q2021 EPS Rs4.3 along with DPS of Rs.1.5.

Total volume & value stood at 388.43 million shares and Rs.13.1 billion, respectively. Volume leader of the day was WTL with 66.16 million shares traded.
