However, Bumrah’s breakthrough came when he dismissed Babar for 13, caught by Suryakumar Yadav. This dismissal hinted at the growing difficulty of Pakistan’s chase.

This victory places India at the top of Group A, edging out the also-undefeated USA on Net Run Rate, following the USA’s surprising win over Pakistan in Dallas on June 6. Pakistan, now winless, must secure decisive victories over Canada and Ireland, along with favorable outcomes in other group matches, to advance to the next round.
