Caretaker Prime Minister Forms Federal Cabinet

Islamabad, August 17, 2023 – On Thursday, Prime Minister Awaar-ul-Haq Kakar unveiled a sixteen-member federal cabinet as part of the caretaker government setup.

In an official announcement, the composition of the caretaker cabinet was revealed, consisting of sixteen members who were selected to fulfill various key roles. The swearing-in ceremony for this new cabinet took place in Islamabad on the same day.

President Dr. Arif Alvi administered the oath to the members of the cabinet during the ceremony, which occurred in the afternoon. The Federal Ministers, who assumed their positions after taking the oath, include individuals with diverse expertise and experience.

Among those who took the oath are Murtaza Solangi, Dr. Umar Saif, Sarfraz Bugti, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Shahid Ashraf Tarar, Gohar Ejaz, Jalil Abbas Jilani, Jamal Shah, Dr. Nadeem Jan, Aneeq Ahmed, Muhammad Sami, Ahmed Irfan, and Anwar Ali Haider. Each member is anticipated to contribute their unique strengths to the federal cabinet.

The event was graced by various dignitaries, and Interim Prime Minister Awaar-ul-Haq Kakar was also present at the ceremony. The caretaker cabinet’s formation is part of the transitional phase, ensuring the continuation of governance until a permanent government is elected.

As the caretaker government takes on its responsibilities, the nation will closely observe its actions and decisions, particularly during this critical period of transition.
