Karachi, July 25, 2023 – The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) reported a highly successful 24 hours of cargo handling, with a total turnover of 118,506 Metric Tons.

During this period, the port efficiently managed the berthing and sailing of several ships, making it a bustling hub of maritime activities.

Ships Berthed: Five ships successfully berthed at the Karachi Port, showcasing its capacity to handle diverse vessels. The ships that docked include:

1. GH FOEHN – A container ship

2. M.T SHALAMAR – A tanker

3. M.T QUETTA – A tanker

4. X-PRESS ANTARES – A container ship

5. FATIMAH – A tanker

Ships Sailed: Additionally, five ships sailed from the Karachi Port during the same period:

1. HYUNDAI INTEGRAL

2. CMA CGM TITAN

3. M.T MARDAN

4. ANBIEN BAY

5. FENG DE HAI

Expected Sailing: The port authorities have also provided information on ships expected to sail on specific dates:

1. CHEMROAD SIRIUS – Expected to sail on 25th July 2023

2. GH FOEHN – Scheduled to sail on 26th July 2023

3. X-PRESS ANTARES – Expected to sail on 26th July 2023

Expected Arrival: Karachi Port is anticipating the arrival of various vessels carrying different types of cargo:

1. ROYAL JASMINE – ETA 25th July 2023 – Cargo: 15,009 Metric Tons of MOGAS

2. DEVASHREE – ETA 25th July 2023 – Cargo: 6,500 Metric Tons of Chemicals

3. JIZHE 3 – ETA 25th July 2023 – Cargo: Liquid Containers

4. INDEPENDENT SPIRIT – ETA 25th July 2023 – Cargo: Containerized Goods

5. NAVIOS LAPIS – ETA 25th July 2023 – Cargo: Containerized Goods

6. DAE WON – ETA 26th July 2023 – Cargo: 3,500 Metric Tons of Orthoxylene

7. CHEMROAD WING – ETA 26th July 2023 – Cargo: 9,500 Liters of Ethanol

8. WAN HAI 515 – ETA 26th July 2023 – Cargo: Containerized Goods

9. MSC PALATIUM III – ETA 26th July 2023 – Cargo: Containerized Goods

10. ESLNHAVA SHEVA – ETA 26th July 2023 – Cargo: Containerized Goods

11. SEAMAXWESTPORT – ETA 26th July 2023 – Cargo: Containerized Goods

12. ELBABE – ETA 26th July 2023 – Cargo: 59,000 Metric Tons of Clinkers

Cargo Handling Turnover: The efficient handling of cargo at Karachi Port resulted in an impressive total turnover of 118,506 Metric Tons during the last 24 hours. Out of this, 83,092 Metric Tons were imports, and 35,414 Metric Tons were exports. The cargo turnover was broken down by commodity as follows:

• Containerized Cargo: Imports – 32,401 MT, Exports – 28,044 MT, Total – 60,445 MT

• Bulk Cargo: Imports – 5,201 MT

• Canola: Imports – 172 MT

• Cement: Exports – 1,700 MT

• Chickpeas: Imports – 135 MT

• Clinkers: Exports – 5,670 MT

• Oil & Liquid Cargo: Imports – 45,183 MT
