Toyota Pakistan Adds 5-Seater Variant to Prado Lineup
Indus Motor introduces the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2.7L Petrol 5-Seater as the new entry-level variant.
Toyota Pakistan has expanded its premium SUV portfolio by introducing a new five-seater variant of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, offering buyers a more affordable entry point into the iconic lineup.
The latest addition, launched by Indus Motor Company, is the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2.7L Petrol (5-Seater), which now serves as the base model in the Prado range.
Previously, the company had introduced only seven-seater petrol and diesel variants of the latest-generation Prado.
With the arrival of the new five-seater version, Toyota aims to provide customers with a practical alternative at a relatively lower price while retaining the SUV’s premium appeal and essential features.
Toyota Prado 5-Seater Price in Pakistan
The ex-factory price of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2.7L Petrol (5-Seater) has been set at Rs55,000,000.
The introduction of this variant broadens Toyota’s offerings for buyers seeking a luxury SUV with a lower entry price compared to the higher-spec seven-seat models.
Performance and Engine
The new Prado is powered by Toyota’s 1GD-FTV engine, featuring a four-cylinder inline configuration with a 16-valve DOHC chain-drive setup. The engine has a displacement of 2,755cc, a bore of 92 mm, and a stroke of 103.6 mm, delivering a compression ratio of 15.6:1.
Equipped with a common-rail fuel injection system, the engine produces a maximum output of 150 kW between 3,000 and 3,400 rpm, while generating 500 Nm of torque from 1,600 to 2,800 rpm, ensuring strong performance for both urban driving and long-distance journeys.
Interior Features and Comfort
Inside the cabin, the new Prado focuses on practicality and everyday comfort. It comes with fabric upholstery, a manual single-zone air-conditioning system, a rear heater, front and rear accessory sockets, and an ashtray. Unlike higher-end variants, this model does not include seat ventilation or seat heaters.
The SUV is equipped with a 7-inch TFT multi-information display, an 8-inch infotainment system, six speakers, and USB connectivity. However, features such as wireless smartphone charging and an integrated sport driving mode have been omitted to keep pricing competitive.
Convenience and Cabin Design
Toyota has retained several premium convenience features despite positioning this model as the entry-level Prado. Buyers receive power windows with jam protection, power door locks, a push-start system, illuminated entry, LED courtesy lamps, and multiple interior lighting points.
Additional cabin highlights include a tilt-and-telescopic urethane steering wheel, PVC shift lever, sun visors with vanity mirrors, a lockable illuminated glove box, and multiple cup holders across the cabin.
The door trims feature a combination of soft-touch upper surfaces and durable resin finishes, enhancing both comfort and practicality.
The introduction of the five-seater Prado strengthens Toyota Pakistan’s luxury SUV lineup by offering customers a more accessible option without compromising the vehicle’s renowned durability, capability, and premium driving experience.
