Islamabad, September 28, 2024 – A tragic helicopter crash in North Waziristan on Saturday afternoon claimed the lives of at least six people, with eight others suffering injuries. The helicopter, operated by Mari Petroleum, one of Pakistan’s leading oil and gas exploration companies, went down due to an engine malfunction, according to initial reports.

Headline Inflation Projected at 7.3% YoY in September 2024
Karachi, September 24, 2024 – Pakistan’s headline inflation, based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), is projected to decrease to 7.3% year-on-year (YoY) in September 2024, marking its lowest level since January 2021. This is a significant improvement compared to both August 2024, when inflation stood at 9.6% YoY, and September 2023, when the inflation rate surged to 31.4% YoY.

Sindh Cabinet Approves Contributory Pension Scheme 2024
Karachi, September 15, 2024 – The Sindh Cabinet has approved the implementation of the Sindh Defined Contributory Pension Scheme 2024, set to take effect from July 1, 2024. Under this scheme, both the government and employees will contribute towards the pension fund, with the government contributing 12% and employees contributing 10% of their salaries.
