Production milestone achieved as Chery prepares to start deliveries of its advanced plug-in hybrid SUV in Pakistan.
Chery Master Pakistan has achieved a significant milestone by rolling out the first locally assembled Tiggo 7 PHEV during a line-off ceremony, marking the beginning of local production for the company’s plug-in hybrid SUV in Pakistan.
The development highlights the brand’s growing commitment to the local automotive industry and its strategy to expand the availability of new-energy vehicles in the country.
According to reports, customer deliveries of the locally assembled Tiggo 7 PHEV are expected to commence in the near future.
The launch comes at a time when interest in hybrid and electrified vehicles is increasing among Pakistani consumers due to rising fuel prices and a growing focus on efficiency.
The company has announced an introductory ex-factory price of Rs9,499,000, which will remain valid for a limited period and for a restricted number of units. This promotional pricing is aimed at attracting early buyers looking to enter the plug-in hybrid segment.
Promoted under the tagline “Live For More,” the Tiggo 7 PHEV offers a combination of electric and hybrid driving capabilities designed to enhance convenience and reduce fuel consumption.
The SUV delivers more than 90 kilometers of pure electric driving range, while its combined range exceeds 1,200 kilometers, making it suitable for both daily city commutes and long-distance travel.
Powering the vehicle is Chery’s fifth-generation Super Hybrid technology. The system pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with an 18.3 kWh battery pack and a dedicated hybrid transmission.
Together, the setup generates 255 kW (342 horsepower) and 525 Nm of torque, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.4 seconds.
Inside, the Tiggo 7 PHEV emphasizes comfort, technology, and safety. Key features include eight airbags, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 24.6-inch dual-screen display, a Sony premium audio system, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing users to power external devices directly from the vehicle.
Globally, the Tiggo 7 series has remained among China’s best-selling SUVs for four consecutive years.
With local assembly now underway and a nationwide dealership and aftersales network established through Master Auto Engineering, Chery appears well-positioned to strengthen its presence in Pakistan’s rapidly evolving automotive market.
