Temporary promotional pricing ends as Chery Master Pakistan restores full revised rates for Tiggo PHEV SUV lineup.
Chery Master Pakistan has officially increased the prices of its plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) lineup from August 2026, ending the temporary promotional rates that were available until July 31, 2026.
The latest revision has pushed the starting price of Chery vehicles above the Rs10 million threshold, making the brand’s entry-level model significantly more expensive for Pakistani buyers.
The company had introduced temporary prices during July 2026, offering partial relief against an earlier price increase announced. However, with the expiry of the promotional offer, the original revised prices have now come into effect across the entire Chery PHEV range.
Under the latest pricing structure, the ex-factory price of the Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV has been set at Rs10.949 million, making it the most affordable model in the lineup while still crossing the Rs10 million mark.
Meanwhile, the Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV is now available at Rs12.999 million, and the flagship Chery Tiggo 9 PHEV has reached Rs15.749 million.
The latest increase reflects the growing cost of imported components, currency-related pressures, and rising expenses associated with advanced hybrid technology.
As automakers continue to adjust pricing to maintain profitability, consumers are facing higher entry costs for electrified vehicles.
Impact on Sales
The price hike is expected to have a mixed impact on Chery’s sales performance in Pakistan. Higher prices could slow demand among middle-income buyers who were considering a shift from conventional SUVs to hybrid vehicles.
The Tiggo 7 PHEV, now priced above Rs10 million, may become less accessible to budget-conscious consumers.
However, demand from premium SUV buyers is likely to remain relatively stable. Customers in this segment typically prioritize fuel efficiency, advanced features, and lower long-term operating costs over initial purchase price.
Chery’s PHEV models continue to offer modern technology, spacious cabins, and strong fuel economy, which may help sustain interest despite higher prices.
Industry observers believe sales growth could moderate in the coming months as buyers reassess purchasing decisions.
Nevertheless, the increasing popularity of hybrid and electrified vehicles in Pakistan may continue to support demand for Chery’s premium SUV range, even at elevated price levels.
