Dave Bautista might be gearing up for a reunion with his Guardians of the Galaxy co-stars, sparking excitement among fans.
The actor, known for his role as Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), recently hinted at potential collaborations with his Guardians castmates beyond the Marvel Universe.
In a recent interview, Bautista revealed his desire to work with more of his former co-stars, following his upcoming project with Pom Klementieff.
The two will appear together in The Killer’s Game, set to premiere on September 13 under Lionsgate’s banner. This marks their second collaboration outside the Guardians films.
When asked about reuniting with his MCU co-stars, Bautista, 55, expressed enthusiasm. “I hope so, yeah.
That’s kind of my goal,” he shared. “I’ve already worked with Karen Gillan outside of Guardians and now with Pom. I’d love to work with Chris [Pratt] and Zoe [Saldana] outside of the Marvel Universe too.”
The actor has built strong ties with his castmates, making these potential team-ups even more exciting. Outside of Marvel, Bautista has also expressed interest in joining the DC Universe (DCU).
With director James Gunn, who helmed all three Guardians films, now overseeing the DCU, the possibility of a crossover isn’t too far-fetched.
“I’ve been very open to that,” Bautista noted about joining the DCU. “It just has to be the right part. I love James and would do anything to work with him.”
James Gunn recently hinted at the possibility of Guardians stars making appearances in the DCU, with rumors swirling around potential roles for Chris Pratt and Pom Klementieff.
Dave Bautista’s latest comments add fuel to the speculation, as fans eagerly anticipate whether more MCU-to-DCU collaborations could be on the horizon.
For now, fans can catch Bautista and Klementieff in The Killer’s Game this September.
