Faisal Nisar Assumes Leadership at USC Headquarters

Islamabad, February 14, 2025 – The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has welcomed its newly appointed Managing Director, Faisal Nisar Chaudhry, who officially assumed charge of his office on Friday.

Faisal Nisar, a Grade 20 officer of the Secretariat Group, steps into this key leadership role following his nomination by the USC Board of Directors, according to an official news release.

The USC, a critical entity in Pakistan’s retail and consumer goods sector, anticipates leveraging Faisal Nisar’s diverse expertise for its ongoing efforts to ensure affordable and accessible essential commodities across the country. With his new appointment, USC aims to further strengthen its operational efficiency and customer service.

Faisal Nisar holds a solid academic background, with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Psychology from Government College Lahore. He later pursued a Master’s degree in Psychology from the same institution. His academic credentials also include an MSc in Criminal Justice Policy (Criminology) with Merit from the prestigious London School of Economics.

Before joining USC, Faisal Nisar served as the Director General of the Secretariat Training Institute, where he was responsible for training and developing civil servants across various government sectors. His professional journey spans significant assignments within both the provincial and federal governments.

His previous roles include serving in the Punjab Home Department and as Director General of the Punjab Labour and Welfare Department. Additionally, he has worked as a Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to the Prime Minister, Director of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), and Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination. Faisal Nisar’s portfolio also includes his tenure as Joint Secretary of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Director General of Civil Defence Pakistan.

The USC management expressed optimism regarding Faisal Nisar’s appointment, highlighting his administrative experience and strategic vision as assets for the corporation’s growth. As the USC continues to address consumer needs and market challenges, the new MD’s leadership is expected to bring enhanced focus on transparency, operational improvements, and public welfare.
