Senior Inland Revenue Service officers reassigned across FBR headquarters, tax offices, and directorates nationwide with immediate effect.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has notified the transfers and postings of senior officers of the Inland Revenue Service (IRS) in grades BS-19 to BS-22 with immediate effect and until further orders.
The reshuffle covers key positions at FBR headquarters, regional tax offices, corporate tax offices, large taxpayers offices, and various directorates across the country.
According to the notification issued on July 17, 2026, Ms. Saadia Sadaf Gilani (BS-22) has been transferred from Member (Audit/CRM), FBR Headquarters Islamabad, and posted as Member (Taxpayers Services), FBR Headquarters Islamabad.
Ms. Tehmina Aamer (BS-22), currently serving as Director General of the Inland Revenue Service Academy Lahore, has been posted as Director General of the Directorate General of Anti Benami Initiative, Islamabad, stationed at Lahore. She will assume the charge after the retirement of Syed Nadeem Hussain Rizvi on August 6, 2026.
Among BS-21 officers, Ms. Amina Hassan has been moved from Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Regional Tax Office Rawalpindi, to Chief Commissioner, Corporate Tax Office Islamabad.
Ms. Nabila Faran Baig has been transferred from Director General, Directorate General of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Islamabad, to Member (Audit/CRM), FBR Headquarters Islamabad.
Mr. Faheem Mohammad has been posted as Chief Commissioner, Regional Tax Office Sargodha, while Mr. Faridullah Jan Khan has been assigned as Chief Commissioner, Regional Tax Office Islamabad. Ms. Aisha Farooq has been posted as Chief, FBR Headquarters Islamabad.
The notification also includes transfers of several BS-20 officers. Mr. Sajjad Akbar Khan has been posted as Chief Commissioner (OPS), Regional Tax Office Rawalpindi, while Ms. Farhat Qayum has been assigned as Director General (OPS), Directorate General of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Islamabad.
Mr. Adnan Inamullah Khan has been transferred as Director General (OPS), IT&DT, FBR Headquarters Islamabad, and Mr. Muhammad Yasir Pirzada has been posted as Commissioner (Zone-V), Medium Taxpayers Office Karachi.
Other notable BS-20 transfers include Mr. Hazoor Bux Laghari, Ms. Naureen Yaqub, Mr. Abdul Khalique Shaikh, Ms. Yasmeen Fatima, Mr. Adnan Ahmad Khan, Mr. Munir Sadiq, Mr. Irfan Ali, Mr. Javed Iqbal Sheikh, Ms. Attiya Ali Khan, Mr. Waqas Aslam, Mr. Muhammad Nawaz, Ms. Shabana Aziz, Mr. Imran Hayee Khan, Mr. Muhammad Zaheer Qureshi, Mr. Muhammad Akbar Mahar, Mian Muhammad Majid Hayat, Mr. Naveed Dost Chandio, Mr. Wali Muhammad Shaikh, Mr. Riaz Muhammad, Ms. Fakhryia Anjum, Mr. Hayat Muhammad, Mr. Hameed-ur-Rehman, Mr. Amir Rehman, Ms. Bushra Jaffar, and Mr. Naveed Ahmad, who have been assigned to various positions in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Sukkur, Faisalabad, Quetta, and Multan.
The reshuffle further covers BS-19 officers, including Mr. Shahid Sattar, Mr. Muhammad Aslam Jamro, Mr. Ashfaq Ahmed Awan, Mr. Shehzad Mehmood, Mr. Muhammad Jawad, Mr. Abdul Wahid Shar, Mr. Mazhar Irshad Khan, Mr. Azhar Jehangir, Mr. Muhammad Bilal, Mr. Mumtaz Ali Thebo, Mr. Nisar Ahmed Burki, Mr. Rais Humayun Abdul Hayee, Mr. Mukhtiar Ahmad Shar, Syed Arsalan Qudus Bukhari, and Mr. Muhammad Qasswar Hussain.
These officers have been assigned new responsibilities across regional tax offices, large taxpayers offices, corporate tax offices, and legal and enforcement wings of the FBR.
The FBR stated that officers currently drawing performance allowance will continue to receive the allowance at their new places of posting.
The transferred officers have also been directed to submit charge relinquishment and assumption reports immediately after taking over their new assignments for record and further administrative action.
