FBR Chairman Urges Taxpayers to Fulfill National Duty by Filing Tax Returns

Islamabad, July 14, 2023 – Asim Ahmad, the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), emphasized the importance of taxpayers fulfilling their national duty by filing annual tax returns.

During an E-Khuli Kachehri held at the FBR Headquarters, the chairman personally received telephone calls from taxpayers, listened to their grievances, and welcomed their recommendations.

The E-Khuli Kachehri serves as an opportunity for taxpayers to engage directly with the Chairman of FBR, facilitating the resolution of their tax-related issues and promoting a culture of tax compliance across the country. During the interactive session, Chairman Asim Ahmad provided on-the-spot directions to relevant offices, ensuring the prompt resolution of taxpayers’ concerns.

To expedite the redressal process, the Chairman advised taxpayers to visit their nearest Regional Tax Office and Collectorate of Customs. He also expressed appreciation for the suggestions provided by some taxpayers, acknowledging the need for further improvement in tax-related services to enhance facilitation.
