Islamabad, March 19, 2024 – In a significant development within the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), 37 officers of the Inland Revenue Service (IRS) have been granted promotion to the higher scale of BS-18.
This move underscores the commitment of the FBR towards recognizing and rewarding merit and excellence within its ranks.
The promotions, announced on Tuesday, come as a boost for the dedicated officers who have exhibited outstanding performance in their roles. Out of the 37 officers promoted, 33 have been granted promotion on a regular basis, while the remaining 4 await completion of codal formalities.
The list of officers promoted from BS-17 to BS-18 on a regular basis is as follows:

These officers will assume their new roles at their present place of posting, effectively contributing to the ongoing efforts of the FBR.
Furthermore, it has been clarified that officers currently receiving performance allowances will continue to do so even after their promotion, ensuring their dedication and hard work are duly recognized and incentivized.
However, the journey to promotion for some officers is subject to the completion of codal formalities. The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), in its recent meeting, recommended the following officers for promotion from BS-17 to BS-18, contingent upon fulfillment of certain requirements:
1. Ms. Mehreen Yousaf, subject to satisfactory Performance Evaluation Reports (PERs) till 30.06.2024.
2. Mr. Faheem Rashed, subject to submission of declaration of Assets for the year 2020.
3. Mr. Waqar Karim, subject to producing evidence of successful completion of Master of Public Policy under Chevening Scholarship availed from 01.09.2022 to 31.08.2023.
4. Mr. Mohabat Khan, subject to satisfactory completion of PER for the period from 18.02.2021 to 30.06.2021.
These officers are urged to address the outlined deficiencies promptly to facilitate the smooth processing of their promotion notifications.
