The Federal Board of Revenue has notified departmental selection committees for recruitment to posts in BS-11 to BS-16 and BS-10 and below at its Islamabad headquarters.

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has constituted departmental selection committees for recruitment to positions in Basic Scale (BS)-16 and below at its headquarters in Islamabad to ensure continuity of the hiring process.

According to notification No. 2301-IR-V/2026, the committees were constituted with the approval of the Secretary Revenue Division and FBR Chairman, following concurrence from the Establishment Division conveyed on October 15, 2026.

For recruitment to posts in BS-11 to BS-16, the committee will be chaired by the Chief (Management/HR-IR), BS-20. The Secretary (Management/HR-IR), BS-19, and Secretary (Legal-HR), BS-19, will serve as members.

For posts in BS-10 and below, the Secretary (Administration), BS-19, will chair the committee. The Secretary (Management/HR-IR-V), BS-18, and Second Secretary (Legal-HR) will serve as members.

The notification also refers to sub-rule (2) of Rule 4 of the Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1973, which requires a departmental selection committee to comprise a chairperson and at least two other members, including at least one woman.

Where no suitable female officer is available within the relevant ministry, division or department, the Establishment Division will nominate an appropriate female member.

The committees will oversee recruitment at the FBR headquarters in accordance with the prescribed rules and the notified composition.
