FBR Sends Large Number of Customs Officers to Admin Pool as Part of Ongoing Reforms

Karachi, October 5, 2023 – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in Pakistan announced a series of transfers affecting numerous customs officers as part of ongoing reforms within the Pakistan Customs department.

According to an official notification released on Thursday, approximately 29 officers in BS-16 and BS-17 have been transferred to the Admin Pool at FBR Headquarters in Islamabad.

The list of officers who have been reassigned, along with their existing places of posting, is as follows:

1. Syed Muhammad Ali, Superintendent, Collectorate of Customs Appraisement, Peshawar.

2. Qazi Zahid Qamar, Superintendent, Collectorate of Customs Appraisement, Peshawar.

3. Tanveer Ahmed Virk, Superintendent, Collectorate of Customs, Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA), Lahore.

4. Tanveer Ahmed, Superintendent, Collectorate of Customs Appraisement, Peshawar.

5. Mazhar Illahi, Superintendent, Directorate of Internal Audit (North), Islamabad.

The FBR has stated that these officers have been relieved from their current postings with immediate effect.
