FBR transfers 45 senior IRS officers in major reshuffle

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) executed a significant restructuring on Thursday, transferring 45 officers from the Inland Revenue Service (IRS) of BS-19 and BS-20.

This reshuffle aims to optimize the efficiency and functionality of the revenue service.

The list of officers transferred is as follows:

1. Dr. Shah Khan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20)

• Transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Peshawar Zone) Regional Tax Office, Peshawar.

• Previous Position: Chief, (Admin Pool) Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad.

2. Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20)

• Posted on return from NMC, as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Audit-II) Large Taxpayers Office, Multan.

• Will assume charge after completion of NMC.

3. Amjad Farooq (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20)

• Posted on return from NMC, as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Corporate Zone-I) Regional Tax Office, Faisalabad.

• Will assume charge after completion of NMC.

4. Kazi Afzal (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20)

• Transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue (Appeals), Bahawalpur.

• Previous Position: Commissioner (Zone III) Regional Tax Office I, Karachi.

5. Muhammad Ejaz Khan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20)

• Transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Zone-II) Regional Tax Office I, Karachi.

• Previous Position: Commissioner, (Enforcement-I) Medium Taxpayers office, Karachi.

6. Ms. Amna Faiz Bhatti (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20)

• Transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Audit-II) Corporate Tax Office, Lahore.

• Previous Position: Commissioner, (WHT) Regional Tax Office, Lahore.

7. Atif Ali (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20)

• Transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Zone II) Regional Tax Office, Quetta.

• Previous Position: Commissioner (Zone I) Regional Tax Office, Quetta.

8. Muhammad Farrukh Majid (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20)

• Transferred and posted as Director, Directorate General of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Islamabad.

• Previous Position: Commissioner Inland Revenue (Appeals-V), Lahore.

9. Imran Latif Minhas (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20)

• Transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue (Appeals-IV), Islamabad.

10. Muhammad Abid (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) – Transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Zone- II) Regional Tax Office, Gujranwala. – Previous Position: Commissioner (Zone I) Regional Tax Office, Lahore.

The reshuffle extends to 35 more officers, each assuming new responsibilities in various capacities across different tax offices and departments. The FBR emphasized that officers receiving performance allowances before the issuance of this notification will continue to draw these allowances in their new positions. The restructuring is anticipated to enhance the overall performance and effectiveness of the Inland Revenue Service, aligning with the FBR’s ongoing efforts for efficiency and transparency in tax administration.
