Karachi, December 16, 2023 – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) announced on Saturday a major administrative overhaul and transferred senior officers within the Inland Revenue Service (IRS).
The FBR has issued notifications regarding the transfer and postings of officers in BS-19 to BS-21 with immediate effect until further orders:
01. Bakhtiar Muhammad (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Member, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad, from the post of Director General, Directorate General of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Islamabad.
02. Muhammad Azam Sheikh (Inland Revenue Service/BS-21) has been transferred and posted as Director General, Directorate General of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Islamabad, from the post of Member, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad.
03. Ms. Asma Aftab (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Zone-I) Medium Taxpayers office, Karachi, from the post of Director, Inland Revenue Service Academy (IRS Academy), Karachi.
04. Abbas Ahmed Mir (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20), currently posted as Chief, (BDT Inland Revenue) IT Wing Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad, is assigned the additional charge of the post of Director (Digital Initiatives), Directorate General of Digital Initiatives, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad, as per Rules.
05. Ms. Tajamal Bilquis (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (ICTO Zone) Regional Tax Office, Islamabad, from the post of Commissioner, (WHT) Regional Tax Office, Islamabad.
06. Irfan Ali (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Zone-III) Large Taxpayers Office, Islamabad, from the post of Commissioner, (Zone-IV) Large Taxpayers Office, Islamabad.
07. Naeem Hassan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Zone-IV) Large Taxpayers Office, Islamabad, from the post of Commissioner, (Zone-III) Large Taxpayers Office, Islamabad.
08. Abdul Hameed Shaikh (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Director, Inland Revenue Service Academy (IRS Academy), Karachi, from the post of Under posting as Chief (Clarification), IR-Policy Wing, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad.
09. Ajaz Hussain (Inland Revenue Service/BS-20) has been transferred and posted as Chief (IR-Analysis), IR-Operations Wing, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad, from the post of Commissioner, (Zone-I) Medium Taxpayers office, Karachi.
10. Asif Rasool (Inland Revenue Service/BS-19) has been transferred and posted as Chief (OPS) (Sales Tax Operations), IR-Operations Wing, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad, from the post of Chief, (OPS) (IR-Analysis) IR-Operations Wing Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad.
11. Mirza Nasir Ali (Inland Revenue Service/BS-19) has been transferred and posted as Chief (OPS) (IR-Formations), IR-Operations Wing, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad, from the post of Director-III, (OPS) Directorate of Law, Karachi.
12. Naveed Khan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-19) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Inland Revenue, (OPS) (WHT) Regional Tax Office, Islamabad, from the post of Commissioner, (OPS) (ICTO Zone) Regional Tax Office, Islamabad.
In another set of notifications issued a day earlier, on December 15, 2023, the FBR announced transfer and postings of the following IRS officers in BS-17 to BS-19:
01. Ms. Qurratulain (Inland Revenue Service/BS-19) has been transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner Inland Revenue, Corporate Tax Office, Lahore, from the post of Additional Commissioner, Regional Tax Office, Lahore.
02. Naseebullah (Inland Revenue Service/BS-19), currently posted as Additional Commissioner, Large Taxpayers Office, Karachi, is assigned the additional charge of the post of Additional Commissioner-IR, AEOI Zone, Karachi w.e.f 05.12.2023, as per Rules.
03. Syed Bilal Mahmood Jafri (Inland Revenue Service/BS-19) has been transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner Inland Revenue, Regional Tax Office I, Karachi, from the post of Additional Director, Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue), Karachi.
04. Irfanullah (Inland Revenue Service/BS-18) has been transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner Inland Revenue, (OPS) Regional Tax Office, Peshawar, from the post of Additional Commissioner, (OPS) Regional Tax Office, Islamabad.
05. Farooq Ahmad (IT Cadre/BS-18) has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director (MIS), Directorate General of Digital Initiatives, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad, from the post of Deputy Director(MIS), Inland Revenue Service Academy (IRS Academy), Lahore.
06. Ms. Alvina Fatima (Inland Revenue Service/BS-18) has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue, Large Taxpayers Office, Islamabad, from the post of Deputy Commissioner, Corporate Tax Office, Lahore.
07. Ms. Hira Fahim Khan (Inland Revenue Service/BS-18) has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue, Corporate Tax Office, Lahore, from the post of Deputy Director, Inland Revenue Service Academy (IRS Academy), Lahore.
08. Sara Imran (Inland Revenue Service/BS-17) has been transferred and posted as Assistant Director, Directorate of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Karachi, from the post of Assistant Commissioner, Medium Taxpayers office, Karachi.
09. Ishrat Mujahid (Inland Revenue Service/BS-17) has been transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner (Prob) Inland Revenue, Corporate Tax Office, Islamabad, from the post of Assistant Commissioner (Prob), Regional Tax Office, Islamabad.
10. Muhammad Laraib (Inland Revenue Service/BS-17) has been transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner Inland Revenue, Medium Taxpayers office, Karachi, from the post of Assistant Director, Directorate of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Karachi.
11. Muhammad Mobeen Sajid (Inland Revenue Service/BS-17) has been transferred and posted as Assistant Director (Prob), Directorate General of Digital Initiatives, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad, from the post of Assistant Commissioner (Prob), Regional Tax Office, Islamabad.
12. Tariq Saeed Ghuman (Inland Revenue Service/BS-17) has been transferred and posted as Assistant Director, Directorate General of Internal Audit (Inland Revenue), Islamabad, from the post of Second Secretary, (Admin Pool) Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad.
The FBR emphasized that officers drawing performance allowance before this notification shall continue to receive it at their new place of posting. The above-named officers are requested to send charge Relinquishment/Assumption to FBR immediately after Relinquishment/Assumption of charge for record and further necessary action.
