Foreign exchange reserves increase to $18.271 billion

KARACHI: The liquid foreign exchange of the country increased by $148 million to $18.271 billion by week ended January 17, 2020, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Thursday.

The foreign exchange reserves were at $18.123 billion a week ago.

The foreign exchange reserves of the central bank increased by $146 million to $11.732 billion by week ended January 17, 2020 as compared with $11.586 billion a week ago.

The foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks were flat at $6.539 billion by week ended January 17, 2020 as compared with $6.537 billion by week ended January 10, 2020.
