Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra Specs Leak Pre-Unpacked

Samsung is gearing up to unveil the Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra at its anticipated July Unpacked event, likely set in Paris.

Recently, the Galaxy Watch Ultra’s name was confirmed via certification, following a brief period where it was referred to as the Galaxy Watch X.

Today, new leaks have surfaced, shedding light on the specifications for both the Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. The Galaxy Watch7 will be available in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra will come in a single 47mm size, aligning with a strategy reminiscent of Apple’s.

The Galaxy Watch7 will be offered in green and “cream” color options. Its case will be crafted from “Armor Aluminum 2,” and the display will feature sapphire crystal glass, akin to high-end mechanical and quartz watches. The Watch7 will have a 5ATM water resistance rating, along with IP68 and MIL-STD-810H certifications.

Battery capacities for the Galaxy Watch7 will remain consistent with last year’s Galaxy Watch6, with the 40mm model housing a 300 mAh battery and the 44mm version equipped with a 425 mAh cell. However, the chipset has been upgraded to a 3nm process from the previous 5nm, storage has been doubled to 32GB, and peak brightness has been increased to 2,000 nits.

Positioned as a competitor to the Apple Watch Ultra 2, the Galaxy Watch Ultra will feature a titanium case available in gray, beige, and silver. It will boast a 10ATM depth rating, IP58 dust and water resistance, and MIL-STD-810H standard compliance.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra’s battery capacity remains at 590 mAh, the same as the Galaxy Watch5 Pro from 2022. It will also feature the new 3nm SoC and 32GB of storage, but with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Unlike the Watch7, the Watch Ultra will be sold exclusively with LTE connectivity.

With these advanced specifications, Samsung’s upcoming smartwatches are set to make a significant impact in the wearable tech market.
