Ghandhara Automobiles plans Rs2.3bn upgrade to boost production efficiency

The truck manufacturer will modernise its point shop facilities and install a Robotics Top Coat Line to improve productivity and paint quality.

KARACHI, September 18, 2026: Ghandhara Automobiles Limited, manufacturer of JAC Motors, Dongfeng and Renault trucks, has announced a Rs2.3 billion expansion project to upgrade its existing point shop facilities and improve production efficiency.

According to a material information notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company plans to enhance and modernise its point shop to increase productivity and strengthen operational performance.

The expansion project is scheduled for completion by the third quarter of financial year 2026-27.

Robotics Top Coat Line to improve production

As part of the planned investment, Ghandhara Automobiles will install a Robotics Top Coat Line designed to improve paint quality and increase manufacturing efficiency.

The company expects the automated system to provide greater consistency in the painting process while helping reduce operating costs and improve overall productivity.

The total estimated cost of the expansion project has been set at Rs2.3 billion.

Ghandhara Automobiles targets operational efficiency

Ghandhara Automobiles said it remains committed to completing the project within the planned timeframe.
