Domestic gold prices decline to Rs460,436 per tola as international bullion rates fall $35 per ounce.
ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan ended their eight-day winning streak on Thursday, August 13, 2026, with the price of 24-karat gold declining by Rs3,500 per tola.
According to market data, the price of 24-karat gold fell to Rs460,436 per tola, compared with Rs463,936 recorded in the previous trading session.
The decline marked a reversal in the domestic bullion market after gold prices had recorded sustained gains over the previous eight sessions.
Similarly, the price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams decreased by Rs3,001 to Rs394,749, down from Rs397,750 in the previous session.
The decline in local gold prices followed a drop in international bullion rates, with global gold prices falling by $35 per ounce.
International gold prices declined to $4,380 per ounce, compared with the previous close of $4,415 per ounce.
The fall in global bullion prices contributed to the decline in domestic gold rates, as prices in Pakistan generally follow international market trends alongside movements in the exchange rate and local market conditions.
The latest decrease comes after a strong rally in Pakistan’s gold market, during which the precious metal posted gains for eight consecutive sessions. The sustained upward movement had pushed domestic gold prices to record levels before Thursday’s correction.
Investors and market participants are now expected to closely monitor international gold prices, currency movements and global economic developments for further direction in domestic bullion rates.
Gold remains a popular investment and store of value in Pakistan, making changes in international bullion prices closely watched by jewellers, investors and consumers.
The latest decline has provided some relief after the recent sharp increase in gold prices, although the precious metal remains at an elevated level compared with earlier trading sessions.
