Gold plunges by Rs4,300 to settle Rs436,336 per tola in Pakistan: October 3, 2026 update

Domestic bullion rates retreat sharply as international gold prices fall by $43 per ounce amid global market uncertainty.

KARACHI, October 3, 2026: Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Saturday, with the price of 24-karat gold declining Rs4,300 per tola amid a drop in international bullion prices.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell to Rs436,336 per tola, compared with Rs440,636 at the previous day’s close.

The price of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs3,687 per 10 grams, settling at Rs374,087 against the previous closing price of Rs377,774.

The decline in domestic gold prices followed a sharp correction in international bullion markets. Market experts attributed the latest movement to changing geopolitical conditions and continued uncertainty surrounding the global economic outlook.

Gold prices have also remained sensitive to developments in the Middle East, with uncertainty surrounding peace efforts and regional tensions influencing investor sentiment and demand for the precious metal.

In the international market, gold prices fell by $43 per ounce to $4,138, compared with the previous day’s closing price of $4,181.

The decline in global bullion prices was reflected in Pakistan’s domestic market, resulting in a significant correction after gold prices had increased a day earlier.

Gold remains an important investment and savings asset in Pakistan. Local bullion prices are influenced by international gold rates, exchange-rate movements and domestic market conditions.

Traders and investors are expected to continue monitoring global economic and geopolitical developments, which could influence the direction of gold prices in the coming sessions.
