Domestic gold prices rise for a fourth straight session as international bullion markets continue to strengthen.
KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend on Monday, marking a fourth consecutive session of gains and registering a cumulative increase of Rs28,900 per tola during the four-day rally.
According to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs4,200 to Rs487,136, compared with the previous closing of Rs482,736.
Gold had last declined on August 19, 2026, when the 24-karat gold price closed at Rs458,236 per tola in the domestic bullion market.
The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams also rose by Rs3,601, reaching Rs417,640 from the previous closing of Rs414,039.
International gold prices support domestic rally
Bullion market experts attributed the latest increase in domestic gold prices to the strong upward trend in international bullion markets. They also noted that declining global oil prices had supported demand for the precious metal.
In the international market, gold prices increased by $42 per ounce, reaching $4,646 from the previous closing of $4,604 per ounce.
The latest increase comes amid continued volatility in global commodity markets, with investors closely monitoring movements in oil prices, interest rate expectations and geopolitical developments.
Gold gains Rs28,900 since August 19
The sustained four-session rally has pushed domestic gold prices significantly higher from their August 19 level.
The price has climbed from Rs458,236 to Rs487,136 per tola, representing a gain of Rs28,900 in just four trading sessions.
The sharp increase highlights the sensitivity of Pakistan’s bullion market to movements in international gold prices, as well as broader shifts in global financial and commodity markets.
