Gold prices fall Rs5,600 as global bullion slumps

Domestic gold rates decline sharply as international bullion prices fall $56 per ounce to $4,258.

Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Thursday, September 24, 2026, with the price of 24-karat gold declining by Rs5,600 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA).

The latest decline brought the price of 24-karat gold down to Rs448,336 per tola, compared with the previous session’s closing price of Rs453,936.

The decline came after gold prices also weakened in the international market, putting additional downward pressure on domestic bullion rates.

Gold Prices Fall in 10-Gram Category

The downward movement was also reflected in the 10-gram category.

According to the latest market rates, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs4,801 per 10 grams, reaching Rs384,375.

The previous closing price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold stood at Rs389,176.

The latest decline follows a continued downward movement in Pakistan’s gold market during the week, with domestic prices responding to changes in international bullion rates.

International Gold Prices Decline

International gold prices also recorded a significant decline on Thursday.

Global bullion prices decreased by $56 per ounce, falling to $4,258 from the previous session’s close of $4,314.

The movement in international gold prices remains an important factor influencing domestic bullion rates in Pakistan, alongside changes in the local currency and market conditions.

The latest fall means gold has recorded another significant decline after domestic bullion prices also dropped in previous sessions.

With international gold prices continuing to weaken, local buyers and investors are closely monitoring the global bullion market for further changes in the coming sessions.

The domestic market is expected to remain sensitive to movements in international gold prices, as fluctuations in global bullion rates can quickly influence prices in Pakistan.
