Gold prices in Pakistan declined by Rs600 per tola on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, ending a four-day upward rally in the domestic bullion market.
According to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell to Rs486,536 per tola, compared with the previous closing price of Rs487,136.

International gold prices decline
Gold prices also came under pressure in the international market, where bullion rates declined by $6 per ounce.
International gold prices fell to $4,640 per ounce, compared with the previous close of $4,646.
The decline in international bullion prices contributed to the downward movement in domestic gold rates.
Despite Tuesday’s decline, gold prices in Pakistan remain at elevated levels following a strong rally in recent sessions. Market participants are closely monitoring international bullion prices and currency movements for further direction in local gold rates.
Gold is among the most closely monitored precious metals and is widely viewed as a safe-haven investment during times of economic instability, inflationary pressures and geopolitical uncertainty. The metal serves both investment and consumer markets, with demand coming from investors, the jewellery industry and various industrial applications.
Gold prices are affected by several factors, including global bullion market trends, currency fluctuations, interest rate expectations and broader economic developments. Movements in the US dollar and changes in demand for safe-haven assets can significantly influence international gold rates, which in turn affect prices in Pakistan.
