International gold drops below $4,100 an ounce, dragging domestic bullion prices lower
ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan extended their decline on Friday, July 24, 2026, with the price of 24-karat gold falling by Rs4,600 per tola, mirroring a sharp drop in international bullion markets as easing safe-haven demand weighed on prices.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA), the price of 24-karat gold settled at Rs427,436 per tola, down from Rs432,036 in the previous trading session.
The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams also declined by Rs3,944 to Rs366,457, compared with Rs370,401 a day earlier.
International gold falls below $4,100
The decline in gold prices in Pakistan followed weakness in the international bullion market.
Spot gold dropped by $46 per ounce to $4,050, compared with $4,096 in the previous session, slipping below the $4,100 mark as investors reduced demand for safe-haven assets.
Market participants attributed the decline to improving risk sentiment and a reassessment of geopolitical and economic developments that had recently supported gold prices.
Domestic market tracks global trend
Pakistan’s bullion market generally follows international price movements while also reflecting fluctuations in the rupee-dollar exchange rate.
As global gold prices weakened, local dealers adjusted domestic rates accordingly, extending the recent correction in the bullion market.
Market outlook
Analysts said gold prices in Pakistan will continue to be influenced by international bullion trends, exchange rate movements and investor sentiment toward safe-haven assets.
Market participants are expected to closely monitor global economic data, central bank policy signals and geopolitical developments, as these factors remain key drivers of both international and domestic gold prices in the coming days.
