Domestic bullion market gains despite mixed global sentiment as 24-karat gold climbs to Rs427,436 per tola
KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan rebounded on Thursday, July 30, 2026, with the price of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs1,000 per tola, supported by continued uncertainty stemming from geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose to Rs427,436, compared with Rs426,436 recorded in the previous trading session.
Similarly, the price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams increased by Rs857 to Rs366,457, up from Rs365,600 a day earlier.
International bullion market
In the international bullion market, spot gold traded at $4,050 per ounce, compared with $4,040 in the previous session, reflecting a $10 per ounce increase. The recovery in international prices provided support to gold prices in Pakistan, which generally track global bullion trends.
Market participants said persistent geopolitical uncertainty and expectations regarding global monetary policy continued to underpin demand for gold as a traditional safe-haven asset.
Domestic market outlook
Gold prices in Pakistan have remained highly volatile in recent sessions as investors continue to assess geopolitical developments in the Middle East and their potential impact on global financial markets. Movements in the international bullion market, along with fluctuations in the rupee-dollar exchange rate, remain key determinants of local gold prices.
Analysts expect gold prices in Pakistan to remain sensitive to changes in geopolitical risks, central bank policy expectations and movements in the US dollar, all of which continue to influence global precious metal markets.
Jewellers and investors are closely monitoring international price trends, as fluctuations in global bullion markets are typically reflected quickly in domestic gold prices.
