Gold prices rise by Rs31,800 in six-day rally

Domestic bullion rates continue to climb as international gold prices strengthen amid sustained buying interest.

ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan continued their strong upward trend on Tuesday, with the price of 24-karat gold rising by Rs2,400 per tola on August 11, 2026, extending a six-day rally that has lifted the precious metal by Rs31,800.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold increased to Rs459,736 per tola, compared with Rs457,336 recorded in the previous trading session.

The latest increase marked another significant move in the domestic bullion market, where gold prices have climbed sharply over the past six trading sessions. The continued rally has pushed the price of gold closer to the Rs460,000 per tola level.

The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams also increased on Tuesday. It rose by Rs2,058 to Rs394,149, compared with the previous session’s rate.

The upward movement in local gold prices came alongside a further increase in international bullion rates. In the global market, gold prices strengthened by $24 per ounce, with bullion reaching $4,373 per ounce, compared with $4,349 in the previous session.

The increase in international gold prices provided additional support to domestic rates, as gold prices in Pakistan generally follow movements in the global bullion market, alongside changes in the exchange rate and local market conditions.

The latest rally comes as investors continue to closely monitor developments in global financial and geopolitical markets, which can influence demand for precious metals as an investment and safe-haven asset.

Gold remains a closely watched commodity in Pakistan, with changes in international prices quickly reflected in local bullion rates. Jewellers, investors and consumers regularly monitor both international gold prices and domestic rates when making purchasing or investment decisions.

With Tuesday’s increase, gold prices have recorded a substantial gain over the past six sessions, maintaining the bullish momentum that has characterized the domestic bullion market in recent trading sessions.

Market participants are expected to continue monitoring international bullion prices, currency movements and global economic developments for further direction in domestic gold rates.
