Rawalpindi, April 10, 2025 — The countdown to cricket’s biggest festival in Pakistan has officially begun as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirms that HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 will commence with a grand and glittering opening ceremony at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Friday, April 11.
For the first time in the league’s history, Rawalpindi will host the inaugural ceremony of the HBL PSL, marking a major milestone for the city. The much-anticipated event will kick off at 7:00 PM, promising fans an unforgettable evening filled with music, culture, and excitement.
The star-studded opening will feature electrifying performances from some of Pakistan’s most celebrated artists. Abida Parveen, the queen of Sufi music, will grace the stage alongside the dynamic Young Stunners, while Ali Zafar will blend tradition and modernity with a cultural act. In addition, Abrar ul Haq, Natasha Baig, and Talha Anjum—who, together with Abida Parveen and Young Stunners, created the official anthem X Dekho—will perform the HBL PSL X anthem live during the ceremony.
Following the celebrations, the opening match of the tournament will see defending champions Islamabad United take on Lahore Qalandars, the two-time PSL winners, at 8:30 PM. Cricket fans across the country are eagerly awaiting this exciting clash, which will set the tone for a thrilling season.
The 10th edition of the HBL PSL will be held across four major venues: Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, Lahore’s iconic Gaddafi Stadium, Multan Cricket Stadium, and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The grand final of HBL PSL X is scheduled for May 18 at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
