How customers are paying more despite Chery Master’s massive discount offer

Price hikes of up to Rs2.055 million mean buyers still pay more even after limited-time promotional discounts.

Master Chery Pakistan has introduced a limited-time savings offer on its plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) lineup, but customers are still paying more than before despite the advertised discounts.

The company first increased the retail prices of its hybrid SUVs and then announced promotional price reductions, leaving buyers with higher final prices compared to the previous rates.

The automaker recently revised the prices of its Chery Tiggo PHEV models, citing the increase in sales tax on hybrid vehicles. The latest adjustments pushed prices up by as much as Rs2.055 million across the lineup.

Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV Still Costs Rs500,000 More

The Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV received a price increase of Rs1.45 million, raising its retail price from Rs9,499,000 to Rs10,949,000.

To attract buyers, the company is offering a temporary promotional price of Rs9,999,000 until July 31, 2026, representing a discount of Rs950,000 from the revised retail price.

However, despite the discount, customers are still paying Rs500,000 more than the SUV’s original price.

Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV Buyers Pay Rs200,000 Extra

The price of the Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV has increased from Rs11,299,000 to Rs12,999,000, reflecting a hike of Rs1.7 million.

Under the promotional campaign, buyers can purchase the SUV for Rs11,499,000, thanks to a Rs1.5 million discount.

Even after this concession, the effective purchase price remains Rs200,000 higher than the previous retail price.

Tiggo 9 PHEV Records the Largest Increase

The flagship Chery Tiggo 9 PHEV experienced the biggest price revision, climbing from Rs13,694,000 to Rs15,749,000, an increase of Rs2.055 million.

The company has reduced the promotional price to Rs14,299,000, offering a Rs1.45 million discount from the new retail price.

Despite the substantial savings, customers still end up paying Rs605,000 more than they would have before the latest price revision.

Offer Valid Until July 31

The promotional prices will remain available only until July 31, 2026. After the offer expires, all three PHEV models will be sold at their newly announced retail prices unless the company extends or revises the campaign.

The latest pricing strategy reflects the impact of higher taxes on Pakistan’s hybrid vehicle market. While the temporary discounts reduce the immediate burden on buyers, they do not fully offset the recent price increases, meaning customers continue to pay more than they did before the revisions.
