Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech has achieved a significant milestone with the production of its two-millionth Tucson at the Nošovice plant.

This momentous occasion, celebrated on Monday, marks the continued success of the Tucson as Hyundai’s flagship model in Europe.

In conjunction with this achievement, Hyundai is gearing up to commemorate the Tucson’s 20th anniversary with a special edition model.

Scheduled to begin production in August at HMMC, the 20th Anniversary Edition Tucson will feature exclusive interior and exterior enhancements, designed to captivate enthusiasts and celebrate two decades of the Tucson’s enduring legacy in the automotive industry.

The two-millionth Tucson, painted in the eye-catching Sailing Blue Pearl color and equipped with the efficient 1.6 T-GDi HEV engine, is bound for a customer in the U.K.

This model epitomizes Hyundai’s commitment to innovation and quality, combining sleek design with advanced hybrid technology to meet evolving consumer preferences.

The journey of the Tucson at HMMC began in mid-2015 with the production launch of the third-generation model. Over the past five years, the plant has manufactured over 1.18 million units, solidifying the Tucson’s reputation for reliability and performance in the European market.

The latest fourth-generation Tucson builds on this legacy with a refreshed design, upgraded interior features, and an expanded range of powertrain options. In 2023 alone, HMMC produced 244,495 units of the fourth-generation Tucson, representing approximately 70 percent of the plant’s total output.

These vehicles have been exported to 70 countries worldwide, with a significant portion meeting demand in key European markets such as the U.K., Spain, Germany, and France.

Hyundai’s strategic focus on sustainability is reflected in the popularity of the Tucson’s hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants. Remarkably, 40 percent of fourth-generation Tucson sales in Europe are now hybrid or plug-in hybrid models, underscoring Hyundai’s commitment to offering eco-friendly transportation solutions without compromising on performance or style.
