Hyundai Motors increase car prices in Pakistan

Hyundai Nishat Motors announced to increase car prices in Pakistan due to the unprecedented fall in Pakistani Rupee (PKR) against the US dollar (USD). The revised prices of Hyundai cars are effective from February 01, 2023.

The company was compelled for increasing car prices because the local currency fell sharply in three sessions on January 26, 27 and 30, 2023. The rupee fell by PKR 38.74 or 16.77 per cent to PKR 269.63, the lowest level against the dollar.

However, the local currency a day earlier showed resilience. However, it again recorded a decline in interbank foreign exchange market.

Currency experts said that the market witnessed adjustment during the day. However, falling foreign exchange reserves remained a big concern for the rupee stability.
