Electricity supply to remain suspended in selected areas on Wednesday due to maintenance and network improvement works.
The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a scheduled power suspension programme for Wednesday, affecting multiple areas across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, and surrounding regions.
The temporary outages are being carried out to facilitate essential maintenance and routine development work aimed at improving the reliability of the electricity distribution network.
According to an official spokesperson, power supply in the Islamabad Circle will remain suspended from 5:00 am to 11:00 am in areas served by the Taramari feeder. Additionally, electricity consumers connected to the Pir Sohawa feeder will face outages from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
In the Rawalpindi City Circle, electricity supply will remain unavailable from 6:00 am to 10:00 am in areas fed by the EME Complex, Jhangi, P&T Wani, Azharabad, and CWO feeders. Residents and businesses in these localities have been advised to plan their activities accordingly during the scheduled maintenance period.
The utility company also announced power interruptions in the Attock Circle. Consumers connected to the Bahtar More, P. Small Industrial, Kohistan Enclave, Kashif Gull, Model Town, and Mix Industry feeders will experience outages from 5:00 am to 11:00 am. Meanwhile, areas supplied by the Katchery, Dar ul Islam Colony, Attock Cantt, and Dhoke Fateh feeders will remain without electricity from 6:00 am to 10:00 am.
Similarly, in the Jhelum Circle, power supply will remain suspended between 6:00 am and 10:00 am in areas connected to the Chapper Sharif, City Housing, Sanghoi, Safdar Shaheed, Nathwala, Langarpur, Saeela, Pakhwal, Jakkar, and F-9 (Chak Daulat) feeders.
IESCO further stated that in the GSO Circle, electricity shutdowns will be carried out from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on the 132kV AWC HMC Taxila and 132kV Sangjani-Burhan transmission lines. Additional maintenance work on the 132kV Kahuta City-Palandri and 132kV New Wah-Bahtermore lines, along with associated earth switches, will continue from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, affecting nearby localities.
The power utility apologized for the inconvenience caused to consumers and assured that electricity supply would be restored earlier than the announced schedule if maintenance activities are completed ahead of time.
