Indus Motor Company Limited Halts Production Due to Supply Chain Disruptions

Karachi, July 20, 2023 – Indus Motor Company Limited has announced the complete shutdown of its production plant starting from July 21, 2023.

The decision comes as the company and its vendors face obstacles in importing raw materials and receiving clearance for their consignments due to challenges in opening letters of credit (LCs) and supply issues from certain foreign vendors.

The disruption in the supply chain has severely impacted the company’s operations, as vendors are unable to provide the necessary raw materials and components. As a result, the company has inadequate inventory levels to maintain production activities, leading to the decision to halt production.

The shutdown will be in effect from July 21, 2023, to August 3, 2023, inclusive. During this period, production activities at the company’s plant will be completely suspended.
