Infinix has officially entered the foldable phone market with the launch of its first foldable device, the Infinix Zero Flip.
This device marks a significant milestone for the Transsion Holdings-owned brand as it adopts a clamshell design, similar to the recently released Tecno Phantom V Flip2.
The Infinix Zero Flip comes equipped with a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED main display, offering a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. With 1,400 nits peak brightness, the screen promises a vibrant viewing experience.
Additionally, the device features a 3.64-inch AMOLED cover display with 1056 x 1066 px resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection, maintaining the same 120Hz refresh rate for smooth performance.
In the camera department, the Zero Flip boasts impressive capabilities. The dual-camera system includes a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 50MP ultrawide lens. The cover screen houses these vertically stacked cameras.
The 50MP selfie camera is embedded in the punch-hole cutout on the main display. All cameras support 4K video recording, and the phone offers seamless integration with GoPro cameras, allowing users to utilize the main screen as a viewfinder.
Weighing 195 grams, the Zero Flip is designed to be lightweight and compact. It is 16mm thick when folded and 7.6mm when unfolded. The device features a zero-gap hinge, which ensures a completely flat fold.
Users can also prop the phone on flat surfaces and use it as a tripod, thanks to its hinge’s ability to hold angles between 30 and 150 degrees.
Powering the Zero Flip is the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset. It comes standard with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The phone runs XOS 14.5, based on Android 14, and Infinix promises two major Android updates along with three years of security updates. The device features a 4,720mAh battery that supports 70W fast charging.
The Infinix Zero Flip is available in Rock Black and Blossom Glow colors, priced at approximately $645 in Nigeria. It is expected to roll out to more markets in the coming months.
