Islamabad to Experience Cold, Cloudy Weather in Next Hours

Islamabad, January 29, 2025 – The capital city of Pakistan, Islamabad, is expected to experience cloudy weather conditions over the next 24 hours, according to the latest forecast issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The weather in Islamabad and its surrounding areas will remain cold and cloudy throughout the day on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

The PMD has also predicted that Islamabad will witness partly cloudy conditions on Thursday, January 30, 2025, with chilly winds continuing to dominate the region. While no significant rainfall is expected in Islamabad, the presence of a westerly weather system over parts of the country may bring scattered rain to some northern areas.

The PMD reported that a westerly wave is currently influencing different parts of Pakistan, which may lead to cloud formation and light precipitation in various regions.

Wednesday, January 29, 2025:

• Cold and dry weather will prevail in most plain areas of the country.

• However, cloudy conditions with chances of light rain, wind, and light snowfall are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and the Potohar region, which includes parts of northern Punjab.

Thursday, January 30, 2025:

• Cold and dry weather will persist across the majority of Pakistan.

• Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir may experience cloudy weather with the possibility of light rain and snowfall in hilly areas.

Over the past 24 hours, cold and dry conditions dominated most parts of the country, with hilly areas experiencing very cold temperatures. Light rain and snowfall were recorded at a few isolated locations in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
