Jaecoo Pakistan teases REEV variant of Jaecoo J6 SUV, also known as iCAUR 03T

Nishat-owned Omoda and Jaecoo hints at an extended-range electric SUV with over 800 km claimed driving range

Omoda and Jaecoo Pakistan has teased the launch of a new Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV), signaling another major addition to the country’s rapidly expanding new-energy vehicle segment.

While the company has not officially confirmed the model name, the teaser strongly suggests that it is preparing to introduce the REEV variant of the Jaecoo J6, which is marketed in China as the iCAUR 03T.

The teaser image showcases a blacked-out SUV with distinctive vertical LED daytime running lights (DRLs) that closely resemble those of the Jaecoo J6.

Adding to the speculation, the company highlighted the letters “REEV” within the word “REEVolution” in its promotional slogan, indicating that the upcoming SUV will feature an extended-range electric powertrain.

Omoda and Jaecoo Pakistan accompanied the teaser with the message: “Get ready to experience the freedom to explore without limits. The REEVolution of Adventure is coming. Stay tuned!”

However, the company has yet to reveal the official name, launch date, pricing, or variant details of the upcoming model.

Expected Powertrain and Performance

Although local specifications remain under wraps, the global version of the iCAUR 03T provides a good indication of what Pakistani buyers can expect.

The SUV is powered by a dual-motor intelligent all-wheel-drive (iAWD) system featuring a 130 kW front motor and a 185 kW rear motor.

Together, the system produces 315 kW (422 hp) and 505 Nm of combined torque, enabling the SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds.

The vehicle has a top speed of 170 km/h, making it one of the more performance-oriented REEV SUVs in its class.

Battery, Range and Charging

The global-spec model is equipped with a 34.31 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack paired with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that functions solely as a range extender.

This setup delivers a WLTC-rated total driving range of up to 801 km, while offering an electric-only driving range of 144 km.

The SUV also features a 45-litre fuel tank, supports 6.6 kW AC charging and 60 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes. Additionally, it includes 6 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, enabling owners to power external electrical devices directly from the vehicle.

A Growing REEV Segment in Pakistan

The teaser indicates that Omoda and Jaecoo Pakistan is preparing to expand its electrified lineup beyond conventional hybrids and battery-electric vehicles.

If launched with specifications similar to the global model, the Jaecoo J6 REEV could offer Pakistani buyers a practical combination of long-distance capability, electric driving, and off-road-inspired styling.

More information, including the official model name, specifications, pricing, and launch timeline, is expected to be announced by Omoda and Jaecoo Pakistan in the coming weeks.
