James Spader Returns as Ultron in New MCU Vision Series

James Spader, the Emmy-winning actor known for his iconic voice, is set to make a highly anticipated return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Spader first brought the menacing character Ultron to life in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, and now he is slated to reprise his role as the voice of the infamous robotic villain in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Vision series.

This new series, currently operating under the unofficial title Vision Quest, is a spin-off of the hit Disney+ show WandaVision. Fans will be excited to learn that Paul Bettany is also set to return as Vision, the android who met a tragic end at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

Despite his destruction, Vision made a surprising comeback in WandaVision, both as a resurrected version through Wanda’s magic and as a rebuilt, white android.

The Vision series is poised to be the third and final chapter in a trilogy that began with WandaVision and is expected to conclude with Agatha: All Along, which is scheduled for release on Disney+ in September 2024. Production for the new series is rumored to start in early 2025, with filming set to take place in England.

Spader’s return to the MCU marks another high point in his storied career, which spans both film and television.

His portrayal of Ultron was widely praised, adding another memorable character to his extensive list of credits. Fans of Spader and the MCU alike are eagerly awaiting this next chapter, which promises to be as thrilling and complex as its predecessors.

This new Vision series is not only a continuation of the beloved WandaVision but also a significant addition to the MCU’s ever-expanding universe. As excitement builds, viewers can look forward to seeing how Spader’s Ultron will once again challenge Vision and the other heroes of the Marvel world.
