The Oscar-winning actress says her new fringe reflects her attitude towards ageing and Botox, while her latest venture takes her passion for hair into the beauty industry.
Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about the reason behind her new hairstyle, revealing that embracing ageing influenced her decision to get bangs.
The Hunger Games star discussed her changing appearance in an interview with Allure, published on October 27, reflecting on her memorable red-carpet looks, film outfits and evolving hairstyles.
Lawrence, 36, also recalled dyeing her naturally blonde hair dark while filming The Hunger Games before returning to blonde between shoots.
Asked whether she planned to keep her fringe, the actress gave an uncertain answer: “Maybe.”
“I think because I’m only getting more wrinkled and I’m not going to start getting more Botox,” she explained.
However, Lawrence admitted that she enjoys experimenting with her appearance and might eventually grow out her bangs.
“I get bored, and I like change, so maybe I’ll grow them out,” she added.
Beyond experimenting with hairstyles, Lawrence has also entered the haircare industry with the launch of Mes, a brand described as a biodesigned haircare company.
Speaking to Allure, she said her longstanding interest in hair products stemmed from personal experiences and questions about haircare that she wanted answered.
She credited scientist Jasmina Aganovic, associated with biotechnology company Arcaea, with helping turn her ideas into reality.
In an interview with The Cut, Lawrence compared developing the brand with creating a film character, describing a similar sense of excitement and creative energy.
Her latest venture marks another step in expanding her interests beyond acting, while her new fringe reflects her willingness to embrace change.
