Jibraan Khan Reflects on ‘Unreal’ Brahmastra Experience

Jibraan Khan, who recently made his debut as a leading man in the romantic comedy Ishq Vishk Rebound, is sharing his remarkable journey as an assistant director on the star-studded film Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva.

In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Jibraan described his time on the set of the Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan starrer as an “unreal” experience, detailing the invaluable lessons he learned from both the cast and the director, Ayan Mukerji.

Reflecting on his experience, Jibraan called Brahmastra the “biggest film school” he could ever attend. “I was blessed to work on it,” he said. He vividly recalled the film’s first shot, which featured Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in a dramatic moment where Ranbir’s character stops a fire while being embraced by Alia’s character. Jibraan, who was tasked with giving the clap for this shot, expressed gratitude for the way Ayan Mukerji made him feel comfortable on set.

Jibraan praised the professionalism and behavior of the film’s incredible star cast, which included Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Mouni Roy. “Working with these legendary actors made me understand why they are such big stars. They are so disciplined and professional,” he remarked.

In addition to his admiration for the cast’s work ethic, Jibraan also touched on the personal dynamics between Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt during the filming. “I think Ranbir and Alia were even dating while they were shooting the film, but they were so professional on set. It’s unreal. I can’t put it into words,” he shared.

Jibraan’s behind-the-scenes insights into the making of Brahmastra highlight the dedication and professionalism that go into creating a blockbuster film. His journey from assistant director to leading man is a testament to his passion for the craft and his eagerness to learn from the best in the industry.
